Barnett Waddingham appoints first Managing Partner to drive future growth
We are delighted to appoint Marcus Whitehead as our first Managing Partner to lead an ongoing programme of growth and development across the whole business – covering consultancy across risk, pensions, investment and insurance.
Joining us in 2002, Marcus has been with the firm for over 15 years; having held a series of senior positions in this time. A qualified actuary, he has been consulting for 30 years across a wide range of investment and pensions issues.

Following Marcus’s promotion, we are pleased to announce that Alex Pocock will take over from Marcus as the new Head of Investment Consulting.
Alex has experience leading some of the largest DC and DB schemes in the UK, including several well-known, large master trusts and a number of standalone schemes. This range of experience enables him to tailor solutions to schemes with varying governance needs and to share best practice across DC and DB clients.
